But can you imagine the uproar if attacks were made on the very legitimacy of arab states as they are on israel?

Certainly no one attacks the the existence of Jordan, a complete British invention, where they gave 3/4 of the Mandate of Palestine to their Hashemite clients as a consolation prize when they lost Mecca.

The underlying idea is a very Arab one, that only Arabs or Muslims have any right to live in the Mideast. Jews don't, particular those who came from Europe with European ideas.
