It's a taken-for-granted principle of intelligence that you keep sources-and the facts that would expose them-SECRET, as long as forever, and maybe a day or two after that.

HOWEVER: Intelligence service (every bit as honorable as military service, even if never known) cannot (and never COULD) contend with a DOMESTIC enemy. For that, they rely on the diligence and patriotism of the people, and the INTEGRITY AND LOYALTY of the OPPOSITION!

SO WHEN: The domestic enemy threatens the republic in a far more significant way than the FOREIGN enemies, the intelligence battle becomes nearly impossible. The price we pay for allowing the anti-American Democrats to remain one step from power is that sources and facts-the exposure of which severely threatens current and FUTURE national security-will now, either rapidly, or painfully and gradually, become talk TV subjects, competing with Kobe, Scott, and Janet...

Who's to blame? As always, Bismarck's chilling wise crack comes to the fore: "The best feature of democracy is that the people get exactly the government they deserve."

As we stand over the graves of FUTURE 91101 corpses, it behooves us to remember that WE will have been the ones who ordered it up.

And all because we bought into Blowhard Bill O'Reilly pounding home the point that "the folks" (some of them in those new graves of tomorrow) DESERVE to be told.

Who's "Looking Out" for "the FOLKS", Bill? Don't even BOTHER to insult us with your answer...
