Senators do not control or even influence state courts. My pint was that Kerry is no more responsible for leting gay marriage decisions go thrugh (he is against gay marriage) than Bush is for letting Texas courts release an obviously guilty murderer just because he's rich and has a good lawyer. Cheney is for states rights on gay marriage BTW. I think he's too liberal. I think gay mariage should not be allowed. Kerry agrees. Cheney disagrees because his daughter and #1 heiress is a gay activist lesbian. Reagan's son is also gay as is Perot's daughter. etc. etc. Many gays are from conservative families.
