ideological bullying from professors

Their answer always is, "I am just challenging the class!" You really can't expect the Department head to hire people he disagrees with. It just won't happen in real life. Some Professors get their kicks out of trying to indoctrinate the class. A partial answer to this is the College Internet Boards that have sprung up where a student can check Prof's out.

These public Colleges have been allowed to run their programs with little regard to need. There is no good reason why our Engineering Colleges can't turn out as good or better Engineers as the Indians do. We need a lot more technical types than the Schools are educating.

One way to get it is to insist that the Schools reduce the amount of Social Science majors and increase the Technical ones. This will force students over into the programs we need. And eliminate a lot of Professors we don't need.

The present programs are turning out thousands of SS grads who either loafed through College or learned nothing they can use. God knows I interviewed enough of them in the 70's, and it is worse now.
