GLENN DALE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 2004--TVI Corporation (OTCBB:TVIN) announces today its receipt of a $4.1 million dollar order from the great state of West Virginia. This order placed through EAI Corporation, an exclusive TVI Distributor and US Government Prime Vendor, adds on to the West Virginia orders from last year. This new procurement outfits the state with additional decontamination capability, increased hospital surge capacity and new, state-of-the-art, equipment designed to protect its citizens from chemical and biological terrorism.

By allocating a large amount of its 2004 Home Land Defense Equipment budget to TVI, West Virginia has helped to ensure that its first responders are equipped with leading edge technology and products with proven performance.

Upon delivery, West Virginia will field TVI's Three Line Decontamination Systems and Professional Individual Decontamination Systems built using the new IntelliJet(TM) Nozzles, engineered to optimize decontamination efficiency. Additionally, it will deploy TVI's new Field Hospital Shelters throughout the state and, by doing so, will provide surge capacity to increase its hospital bed count, cost effectively enabling the state to meet the needs of its citizens in the event of a disaster, either natural or manmade.

Equally as important, West Virginia placed an order for TVI's new AEGIS(TM) Chem Bio Isolation Systems. These systems, which will be deployed at the state's Critical Care Hospitals, are comprised of TVI's rapidly deployable chamber technology coupled with US Army tested filtration equipment. This equipment helps the state's healthcare workers to isolate and contain threats such as Small Pox, SARS, Sarin or VX or any other chemical or biological airborne contaminant.
