Getting a constitutional amendment passed is unlikely imo. Even if Mass does it will take effect at its earliest two years after gay marriage is allowed. Thus if there is less of a problem or less voter opposition even the Mass amendment ultimately is unlikely to pass the legislature twice. I think the courts are wrong here but i do see Sullivans point lumping in Brown, and this decision and possibly rowe v wade. Judicial activism is judicial activism. And actually i hope that sullivan is right about gay marriage making the gay community more mainstream. Mike
