"Kerry is a professional politician. imo he checks which way the wind is blowing is Massachusettes and votes accordingly." If so then he will improve because now he will have to measure the wind nationwide and that wind is less radical than the winds of chappaquidick. On a more serious note, the Mass court decision on gay marriage will hurt him nationally if he is perceived to end up on the wrong side. If he comes out for a Mass amendement he will be hurt with his base and if he doesnt it will have its effect over on Main st. Its amazing how quickly the top dog gets hit. OTOH Edwards can make oppostion to gay marriage work for him if he chooses to. Mike
