Your point on patents seems to be like saying the person with the most driver's licenses is the best driver. It has long been the game in electronics that the one with the most patents wins and emphasis in some quarters has been on quantity rather than quality. I have been in quantity driven organizations and quality driven organizations. The quality driven were the most innovative. JMHO
