What you don't see is that your bias is muddying up the picture. Both the Palestinians and the US military think they are doing what needs to be done to protect their interests.

The net aim (defeating Israel or defeating Saddam) wasn't part of the calculations. The target of the attacks (civilians or the regime of a brutal military dictator) is the distinction. In one case you have deliberate targeting of civilians in the other you have care taken not to hit civilians. I am just as subject to bias as other people but this point isn't biased or muddy. The principle is clear and I am applying it in an even handed way. You might not agree with the principle but that doesn't make the point muddy or biased.
