Good, so we are free to fashion society largely as we will.

You asked if I was arguing against free will. I was not. But I may nevertheless be a hard determinist. I was simply not trying to make that argument.

As to the other point: (Homosexual behavior... and many other forms of sexual behaviors, being WIDESPREAD throughout the entire animal kingdom.) Nice of you to admit the entirely obvious. I assume your previous false claim to the contrary is withdrawn now?

I admitted no such thing. I simply used your assumption to show that it was no sound basis to mainstream homosexuality. The fact is, homosexuality is not widespread at all. If anything, BISEXUALITY exists in the animal kingdom, and its frequency is not so prevalent that we ought to think it is acceptable to us. Lastly, theft, polygamy, "swinging", and a host of other behaviors are very widespread in the animal kingdom. This is just no reason for us to claim humans can legitimately engage in these behaviors. Unlike brute beasts, we can know what we are in nature and live accordingly. (duh....)
