Too bad such a clearly objective and empirical stance has about as much chance of surfacing on this side of the pond as the likelihood that more than 5 out of 100 Americans would see the gay marriage issue as a glaring abuse of the separate-but-equal contention supposedly settled over 50 years ago in this supposedly secular country.
