Dan, et al,

There wasn't anything in Barron's this past week focused on PMs but Part III of Barron's Round Table included some interesting comments from Felix Zulauf about gold and silver. He believes we are in a secular bull market in the natural-resources complex, though he expects of correction (not a bear market) in gold. But he believes silver will out perform gold and is recommending it for 2004. It wasn't stated but his comments seem to me to echo those of Marc Faber published last week.

The GMI/POG ratio:

On 01/29, the Barron's GMI was 614.19, down from the previous week's 642.46. With the POG down at 399.75(01/30) the ratio was up at 1.54.

The ratio a year ago was 1.35.
