On Nightline, David Gergen became the first full fledged Republican with a national reputation to say clearly and publicly that the Bush admin misled the public about the nature of the threat that Iraq posed.

Good for him. He has always been a cut above mere partisanship.

Of course, I'm sure he will be regarded as a turncoat by some who will keep repeating, we never said "imminent." And we never said he had anything to do with 9/11. Or Al Qaeda.
