We are repositioning our troops in Korea as a "lilypad," for SE Asia, instead of front line troops against NK.

I wonder what the logic there is. Even with my notoriously deep reserves of pessimism I can’t envision any scenario in SE Asia – or for that matter anywhere between Taiwan and Bangladesh – in which a significant American deployment would serve any productive purpose. N. Korea is the Asian hotspot. Taiwan is a very remotely possible candidate for a bit of stick-waving, but that wouldn’t require troops. The American trump card against an invasion of Taiwan is our submarine force. The Chinese are miles behind the US in submarine and ASW technology, and even the rumour of American attack submarines in the strait with orders to disrupt an invasion would be a massive deterrent.

I don’t see any other candidates for military action in the region, even looking well over the horizon.
