Jake, France used their diplomacy to get oil from Iraq. That got the US angry. Instead of working with France as Clinton did and lobby them, Bush thumbed his nose and sought a military solution. No blood for oil is why the slogan was invented. 500 plus US lives lost to prevent France from get oil from Iraq!!! The American people do not think that as a good solution.
