GOLDEN HEMLOCK EXPLORATIONS LTD. ("GHE-V;GHEMF-L")
- Program Update
Robin T. Forshaw, President of Golden Hemlock Explorations Ltd., announces that the program of sampling and drilling on the San Jose de
Gracia mineral camp is continuing. The exploration program has two focuses; (i) the continued development of higher grade mineralized zones for ultimate underground production, and (ii) the delineation of larger bulk mining targets. To date success has been achieved on both fronts.
Drill holes 97-40 to 97-42 indicate the mineralized breccia/vein
system in the Tres Amigos zone thickens to the southwest. Significant intercepts from these holes are tabulated below:
Drill From Intercept Gold Silver Copper Zinc
Hole (m) to (m) (m) (g/t) (g/t) (%) (%)
97-40 78 - 80 2.0 14.9 10.9 0.19 0.10
90 - 96 6.0 4.2 10.3 0.26 0.28
104 - 110 6.0 5.0 4.5 - 0.24
97-41 78 - 86 8.0 3.12 26.4 0.78 0.29
97-42 88.7 - 117.5 28.8 2.11 4.8 0.13 0.40
incl. 88.7 - 93.0 4.3 3.02 6.8 0.25 0.52
113.0 - 117.5 4.5 5.06 13.4 0.38 -
Mapping and sampling in the area which connects the Tres Amigos, Rudolfo and Prieta zones has identified what appears to be a large
epithermal system containing gold and base metals in a combination of
veins, breccias and stockwork zones. Mineralization occurs as pyrite
chalcopyrite, galena and sphalerite with gold and silver. Sampling has confirmed the zones for over 1,000 metres in length and least 50 metres in width.
Drilling priorities are to test the higher grade Tres Amigos
extension, with a second drill scheduled to begin testing the bulk tonnage potential between the Tres Amigos and Prieta zones by September 1st.
Golden Hemlock is presently in advanced discussions with a major mining company for that company's financial and technical involvement in Golden Hemlock and the project. Results of further drilling and other material matters will be released as they become available.
