Hi Janet- I can only do the mall thing once in a great while--my female gatherer gene was damaged at birth-I loathe shopping and go only when nudity threatens my family. It frightens me how happy people look as they wander the stores and drives home my feelings of alienation from the normal female population, so I avoid it. In Texas, we get out of school the last of May and start back at various times in August. My boys started yesterday. It's still in the 90s here and doesn't have any kind of "back to school" feel--will stay that way through September. My memories of summer are of endless days filled with a kind of positive nothing. Now they seem short and jagged and crammed with structure and activities...is that because I'm old or because life is really different? Will our children remember their summers as the islands of respite ours were? And if not, did we give them something else good to replace what was lost? As for stocks-- Only PTEC goes in circles--teeny little ones with about a one point spread-PTEC owners would love a little flamboyance at this point. DOn't you think stocks would realize that when they just go down, they are boring and depressing? DOn't they feel any obligation to entertain their owners? The background music for PTEC would be New Age elevator-a bland compositional pudding of simple harmonics and predictable melody-kinda Teshy. There's an idea! Theme songs for stocks.. Easy one--ZONA--Up Where We Belong or the Army song Be All That You Can Be (Hey-trivia-it may not still be there-but CW and I did the midi music for the Army Web page last year) BOOM-I Get a Kick Out of You HELE-(Helen of Troy) You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby AMR-On the Wings of Love SLE (Sara Lee)American Pie SHW (Sherwin Williams) Color My World Valujet Gonna Fly Now from Rocky Gosh -this is easy... need a biotech that deals with respiratory problems for Take My Breath Away or one researching plastic surgery techniques-The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face Enough--although I'm sure you all will have some strange suggestions of your own. I offer my simple, little mommy entertainment ideas and you guys take off like an alternative class for severe behavioral problems.
