If anybody should be saying "mea culpa" it's Kenneth Pollack.
At least Pollack was qualifying a good deal of what he said. And he was, as far as I can recall, always saying, wait a minute, the timing is right here, we've got to give the inspectors more time. And we've got to line up a coalition behind us to give ourselves the best chance of success after the war.

Bush's people did none of that.

Not that I think Pollack shouldn't feel some chagrin and shame. But he does. And the Bush people don't appear to. They are still playing the "It's too early" game, and the "when it's all said and done, we'll be proven right about...." game.
