That's true. Although, generally speaking, children follow their parents religion. So if your Mom is Christian, so is daughter, if Mom is a Muslim, so is daughter. Most Christians I know got that way by simply being born into it. But I take your point: in Islam its illegal to even think about changing your faith ...
And in case there's any doubt, I'm not defending Muslims. As a woman, especially, I find their attitudes way off the map. I have no illusions about this. Give me Christianity, anyday.
I was just pointing out that Muslims are equally sure "believers" who use identical arguments to justify their belief (ie. God/Allah told them, they have faith, you just have to submit to the path etc).
