OK, Lizzie...where's the whining on this thread from Austin and Washington state? Don't hear much of it.

The tech sector is undergoing structural changes, for sure. It is dislocating some people, no matter what city we're talking about.

Dislocated people need to put their energy into constructive change, instead of whining. Above all, don't blame the parents for the problems. I definitely recall your posts about how the older people in California were making out like bandits at the expense of younger ones due to Prop 13. OK, you got a new governor. I notice you don't mention him anymore....now for some reason it's the President's responsibility (or his successor) to straighten out California.

I also definitely remember hearing the Intel CEO saying, during CA's energy crisis not too long back, that if things continued the way they were, his company would have to leave the state. Think about that.
