martin, I would agree with others here that where possible you should use direct trading and specify Island in these situations. I do wonder however about you being told that your marketable order would not be filled at least in part. On Island at least there you will get full market exposure as long as you have a minimum parcel to sell. Just occasionally the MMs will try to screw your Island order by leaving an odd lot (buy one share and leave 99 of a 100 share order) which then won't be displayed to the market. However Island is democratic so you will be filled on the next trade providing it is at the same or better price.
