I would hazard a guess that 1% of the population or less, is thinking about deflation. Probably less than that.

I doubt that many think a recession is likely either. I think it is a near-given in 2005 sometime. A lot easier to see where interest rates are headed - stable to lower than where the stock market will be 6 months from now.

I suspect gold and silver will be up but I really do not know. All in all I think I prefer silver.
