I served in Texas, Arkansas, Virginia, and New Mexico, in the National Guard...in 72, when I entered the military, VN was winding down, (and no I did not want to go), I started in an artillery unit, but was transferred to a small unit of about 60 men that was mostly made up of E8s and above and Captains and above. We went around and graded military units on both combat effectiveness and area damage control.
