I appreciate your sarcasm!
I found this line stunning: "... the dollar has slid far enough against the euro". Is this just jawboning, or are they going to try to defend the dollar?

The official statement should be interesting.
Best to all.

How do you propose they defend the US$?

1) Is the US going to raise rates? Did ANYTHING come out of that meeting remotely suggesting that? I say they are not. Russ says they will. You pay your money and you take your choice. To me it is crystal clear: The US wants a lower dollar (with everyone but China).
2) Is the US going to buy US$? LOL Why buy them when we are printing them for nothing?
3) Will Japan keep trying to support the US$? Probably, but will it do any good?
4) Is the ECB going to waste money following Japan? Who knows but if they try, I predict it will make things far worse.
5) Will Europe be forced to cut? Ta da!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#5 is the winner my friends.
