What exactly is the threat you speak of, and why was it inevitable?
While you can argue that we haven't had enough time to find the WMDs, I believe it is very clear that, even if Saddam did have WMDs, either he or the commanders in charge of the WMDs were unwilling to use them against the United States, even to save their own hides.
We also know that Saddam's army, including the vaunted "republican guard," was either incapable or unwilling to put up significant resistance against our armed forces.
So I have a hard time understanding what threat he posed to us, and why that threat was inevitable. |
