Paul,

re: GM vis a vis INTC Point to ponder

in 1980 a Buick Skylark cost about $7700; an IBM XT was around $5000 or so; Today I don't think you can buy any Buick for less than about $22k or so. I'm looking at the cover of the PC Connection catalog which has a Compaq 233MHz MMX system w/ 6.5GB drive, Zip drive, 56Kbps Modem, 24X CD for $2499. (I just gotta have one of these!)

Seems like GM has grown their revenue by selling a slightly better product at a much higher price, while Intel has grown theirs by selling more of a far better product at a much lower price.

Regards

P.S. Glad they came to their senses and let you and the others stay on SI. It wouldn't be the same without you.
