Still another Republican Big Lie (or at least big distortion) coming up on the radar screen.

They now claim that Saddam Hussein bribed some people into opposing the invasion. Even if these allegations are true (which I doubt), why is nothing said about the huge bribes paid by the US to Turkey (and other members of the "coalition of the willing") to support the invasion? These probably exceeded any bribes paid by Hussein a hundred or a thousand times over.

Apparently it is OK for the Bushies to pay billions in bribes (not to speak of all kinds of blackmail) to persuade others to do their bidding, but a monstrous crime when anybody else does it or is accused of doing it.
