Republicans can't run on issues and facts..........they would lose for certain if they were honest about their intentions for this country.

There are democrats with alot more political savvy than I have that believe the Republicans are running up the budget deficit to create a fiscal crisis that will give justification to eliminate multiple social programs. The Republicans have always wanted to roll back the policies FDR and Johnson created and they will need a huge crisis in order for the public to allow it without revolting.

It's the same principle as the PNAC group claims; that is, they needed another Pearl Harbor to justify the Middle East invasion they have had planned for many years.
