the number of employed people vs. passive income people on SI and various investor chat boards is skewed (obviously). This is why people here don't realize how bad the labor market is. I know because I am privy to some US executives and VCs who are discussing moving literally every desk job offshore within the next 5 years. It is very upsetting to me and others who are aware of it, that is why you see so many "leaks" about offshoring at IBM in the NYT. This is the issue Bush needs to overcome to win and I don't think he will be able to do so. The reason voter turnouts are so high back east is because people are getting desperate. Bush will lose on this, you watch. Rove and friends think statistics are understating employment? Wrong, statistics are actually overstating employment. The true story is told in the month by month declining federal income tax receipts. Wait until the 03 federal returns come in... deficits will increase, AGAIN. Osama or no Osama desperate people want change imho. BTW I suspect Babs Boxer holds on to her seat too! Good old babs. I love the fact that the wingers hate her so much.
