Term limits dont bother me. The balance budget thing does because it makes deficits the enemy not government waste. What effectively would happen in times of peace is that the military would be gutted and in times of war, valuable programs would be lost and in both times if the Democrats were in power we would get tax increases that in extremis would kill the goose. Unfortunately some government waste and some pork barrel legislation have always been and still are part of the mix in our quasi capitalist system. Mike
