Remember the impeachment of Bill Clinton? Sure you do. It was done at the time that the Republican controlled Congress was investigating the small failed land deal in Arkansas. It was done wile Congress investigated weather a friend of Clintons might have gotten a couple of bucks off of travel arrangments. In the end , it was done because Clinton Lied about having consensual sex with an intern. Remember that? Now remember when the minority party, the Democrats, asked for a list of who Vice president Cheney met with to develop energy plans? Remember how the administration said no, then Enron ripped off California for millions and investors and pensioners for billions then the friends of George Bush, and then Cheney raided the coffers of the company and split? Remember when in October 2002 the CIA told Bush that Iraq didn't go to Northern Africa seeking yellowcake for nuclear weapons? Then remember how the president then said in January 2003 that it did.Remember how his administration said it Knew Saddam had weapons of mass destruction?Remember how Donald Rumsfeld gave descriptions of exactly where they were deployed and others in the administration kept mentioning mushroom clouds?Remember that was the reason we, in complete violation of international law and against the international community launched a pre-emptive attack on a sovereign nation,killing god knows how many?Remember how the war wasnt about oil ? Remember the no bid contracts to Halliburton? Remember , $9 billion to Cheneys company alone?Remember how Halliburtons subsidiary overcharged the defense department by millions for fuel?Remember how that was at the same time the same corporation had the no-bid contract to restart Iraqi oil production? Remember how they have to keep delaying getting that oil production back on line wile they steal millions more on overpricing fuel and taking kickbacks from Kuwait? Remember the surplus? Remember Ken Star?Where is he today when a president holds secret meetings with his oil buddies, then divvies up a country he plans to invade as he robs the treasury to enrich his friends and send troops into battle without flack jackets. Remember how Bush landed on deck of that aircraft carrier, he had all his gear on. The war rages, the thievery rages on, the presidents lies rage on, and his lies cost billions in dollars, lives of thousands, credibility in the international community and our self respect. |
