If a country, corporation, person is in debt up to the ears and they know that by all means they won't be able to meet the obligations (persons can count on lottery win as the God sent miracle) what else they will say than

<<Debt is a good thing. Management of it is the issue....>>

Reason for that is very simple. Try to borrow as much more as you can when you are on the way belly up. In the meantime asteroid may hit us and the problem will be over. Chances are it will not happen, the debt burden beside losing a long time employment are two main factors for people to commit suicide. Countries like Brazil can afford to say to the creditors - "well, you have to do something about our debt". US cannot play this game from obvious reasons, so they play smoke and screen but SLOWLY and STEADY with mixed signals from different officials keeping on devaluing the dollar to the point where something will give up. Try to be aware of this point as there is not a single person with normal brain function who can believe US is in position to pay all the debts and there is nothing anybody on SI can do about it. Be happy, not worry but look forward for possible opportunities and challenges, look out where the shots are coming from.
