Lizzie, How come you post false statements about Microsoft, even after I've given you factual information about the location of their core product development teams.

Unlike you, I've recently spoken with half a dozen divisions (i.e. nearly all the major product groups) at Microsoft and can assure you they are all in Redmond.

RE: "offshore software producers like IBM, MSFT"

IBM may be an offshore software producer, but MSFT has not been. Gates likes to be able to walk up to his developers and ask questions. Yes, MSFT does indeed need to get some people in China, otherwise they'll continue to fall behind overseas due to a lack of presence there.

RE: "(going with) Linux that would take care of the problem."

Lizzie you said Linux is supported by international developers. So you are contradicting yourself here.

I'd personally like to see a software tax credit, if anything to help folks like you that are in software development.

Regards,
Amy J
