I actually agree with Limbaugh here, though the outraged shock is a bit ridiculous. Of course the Democrats are trying to make the economy look worse than it is, just like the Republicans are trying to make it look better than it is. That little dance is as old as elections, and both parties have danced on both sides of it.

What struck me about the piece was how strangely inarticulate he sounds. I’ve never heard or seen the guy, but I had the impression that he was supposed to be smart. Totally obnoxious, but smart. Here he sounds like a badly tweaked college kid trying to sound smart and tough at the same time, and not making it in either department.
