No, what I am saying is that the U.S. already is BANKRUPT.

They have promised far more (in entitlement benefits,
for example) then they can ever hope to deliver.

I am a relatively young worker.
Look at it from my perspective.
Why should I continue to put more and more tax money
into a bankrupt system that is doomed to failure?

From my perspective, it is far better that the failure
of the system happen SOONER rather than LATER.
That way, the system can be reformed and put on
a sound actuarial basis. Continuing to fund an unsound
system with higher and higher taxes only postpones the
problem and will lead to an even bigger crisis later.
