In the US there are half-a-dozen or so approved rapid flu tests - all I think would pick up avian flu. I believe the three biggest players are Quidel, Becton-Dickinson and Thermo Electron (Biota) and some minor players I don't know anything about (Binax and Remel). I'm not sure the current status of ZymTex's test - they emerged from Chapter 11 but I think have sold most of the rights to their test.
