Without jobs, this economy is toast. Of course it is toast anyway, but it is toast sooner without jobs. Demand for stainless steel clippers at $8 that were $2 last week is not going to be there. No way to pass on price hikes regardless of how high commodities get IMO. Eventually China will act to cool things down on their own accord and demand for commodities will lessen. That would be the smart thing for China to do as well.
