well, there is a lot I don't agree with traditional democrats on. I have voted for plenty of republicans in my life, and I am all for lower taxation and regulation of corps (within reason). The problem is, it is hard to sit and watch the hypocrisy in this republican administration. You want free markets and claim they are good even though millions of people are suffering due to these policies. OH- but free markets are not good if they apply to the US drug industry so lets fire up another 500 billion dollar entitlement?! Sorry this doesn't fly. The republicans gave away hundreds of billions in the form of corporate pork, an amazing feat I never would have thought possible, but they managed to do it. The 90s budget surplus or influx of revenues or whatever it was, was created with individual taxpayer money. The Bush admin took that money and proceeded to dole it out to corporate farms and pretty much anybody who was on their campaign contribution list. So whatever republicans say about taxes is largely irrelevant imho.
