I think that what I read claims that each ETF is equal to 1/10th of an ounce of gold, and that the difference between the value of the fund and the value of gold is the expenses to manage the fund. I have not looked more deeply into what those might be.

I should probably look at kitco. I have not looked in the past and did not know that you could open a fund with them.
