I spoke with Jon Vaux yesterday, and he informed me, "There is a lot
going on," but did not want to release any details at this time, but
said news would be forthcoming as it is appropriate to release. He
indicated they were very busy doing ET surveys and picking up leases.

Jon also said that they expect Barrett Resources (BRR- NYSE) to drill
on the Cave Gulch prospect next month. The Dept. of Interior BLM has
issued the Record of Decision for the Enviornmental Impact Study for
the Cave Gulch area, which if I understood correctly could mean up
to 160 wells in the area (not all of them on AXPL's property though).

BRR's Cave Gulch #13 well was drilled about 1 mile from the AXPL/BRR
JV property tested at 10.2 million cubic feet/day through a 24/64 inch
choke after 5 days of testing. This was from 1 pay zone, with several
additional zones still behind the pipe and not yet tested.

Let's hope the next well turns out as good as this one did.

Lastly, on the Cash Corner well-- They are still working on it!!!
It is apparently not a lost cause yet. Keep you fingers crossed on
this one.

Regards to all,

Jeff Williams
