Most every economist and government in the world agrees with me - so I win. Sorry. LOL! You mean most every economist in the Bush administration don't you? Laura Tyson and the entire former Clinton team agree with Roach (and me). We'll see if 05 is good or bad economically speaking when new policies get enacted after the election. I suspect that with a change in policy things will improve dramatically for most industries in the US- retail, capex etc.
