This is the most telling part of the story IMO. It seems impossible that there would not be someone out there who would want his fifteen minutes of fame. He'd probably get a lot, lot more than that were to come forward. Anybody, even a Democrat, would be tempted by a backslap from the Prez.

Speaking of brushes with famous people, Edwards was on the next block this morning but I didn't know about it. I probably would have hoisted myself up and walked down there had I known.
