the problem is that Bush is so in the hole with jobs, he would have to create 450K jobs/month to make a dent in the view that he is a job loss president. Like last night the rebuttal to Bush's claims that he will create over 2 million jobs this year meant 250K jobs minimum need to be created, per month, starting in Feb. No chance of that, really I am quite sure.

The white house thinks the statistics are worse than reality? I think the reality is worse than the statistics. The college graduates in their 20s are working at cheap retail and fast food, walmart, places like that. They don't want Bush jobs, they want real jobs and there has been nothing but decline in those since 01. AND wages plus benefits are going down.

Having said all this, it appears that Barney Frank is right and this issue has reached the boiling point so republicans are having to comment on it. Notice the flurry of "job loss is a good thing" (the old tough love stance) in the last week. I wish it would have taken Bush longer to determine he would lose over this. Fortunately I think it is too late for Bush even now.
