Ann, Gadaffi is a militaryman. He knows that the US military was stretched enough to not risk attacking another country. The US home front (economy) is in shambles, the Al Qaeda has engaged the US military in Iraq, there was N. Korea a thorn for the US military, and folks like you think that Gadaffi is a moron to think that the US was going to attack him. Gadaffi lost the support of his business community and they forced his hand to strike an accord with the West.
