First, we had a rather good idea of what was going on regarding human rights from exiles and defectors. Second, Bush did, in fact, mention that as a reason to topple Saddam. Third, even Kay mentioned that various detainees have said that stockpiles were trucked to Syria, and that the convoys are verifiable, though the contents are not, and he has said that it is his personal opinion that the intelligence was wrong, which Tenet contradicts. Fourth, Bush was never shrill, and he did not say that the danger was imminent, he said it was mounting and unpredictable. Fifth, the Administration disavowed a connection between Saddam and 9/11 after the Czech story was questioned. Sixth, there is a connection between Iraq and Al- Qaida, we are just not sure of its precise nature. Finally, we had ample reason to invade based on available intelligence......
