But the patent was granted in the US and the sales force will be expanded in Europe. Here they have orphan drug status and the European version gives them a couple of extra years compared with the situation in the US. And one has to ask oneself how much 16 persons covering 8 different countries (cultures, customs, languages etc.) will be able to achieve. Even if Europe is often referred to as "Europe" such an entity hardly exists. The borders are still borders even if some of our politicians would like to pretend that they are not there anymore.
