This is Why I Took My Commodity Bets Off...

...last month after a terrific run. I became concerned that China's inhalation of iron ore, coking coal, copper, nickel, and all the rest was really just a part of their own bubble. The frenetic industrialization of China and the building of their industrial capacity is so leveraged to Western Consumer Demand--that I fear even minor disruptions to the scheme will have big reverberations. Sure, China will eventually bring as much domestic demand "on line" as they have capacity--and commodity plays are no doubt a great 5-10 year bet to make.

I just think there's a big disruption coming before "new levels of Sunshine break out over the broad uplands..."
