Well, there were all kinds of new jobs. Some were lower paying service jobs, but many were higher paying jobs also. 22 million were created.

Also - the jobs created then paid more in general. Many people that have lost jobs since Bush took office have taken replacement jobs at much lower wages - sometimes half. I know some of them - and there are many other examples out there.

Many jobs were created in the 90s before the dot-com mess.
