They don't have the costs associated with a pit so over the long term they will be more cost efficent than CBOT. Probably true, but IMO they've got to attract market share away from CBOT first. I thought they would offer decimal trading. 100's instead of 64's would give me a reason to try them. With no need to please floor traders scalping the spread, why not? Maybe they are counting on built up resentment over the years. It was rather transparent of CBOT to reduce their fees only one week before Eurex US opened. We can guess what will happen to them if they have a monopoly again. Esteban
