Heinz cannot put money into the campaign. However, she has stated that if the personal attacks get bad against Joh, she will form some kind of PAC or give money to an interest group to run issue ads. That is legal, but she hasn't done it yet and may not have to. The Kerry campaign is now being beseiged by new contributors. Their next event is sold out. You can't even buy your way in.
